With a traditional retailer, Shipments are received at the PO level. With Amazon, each Case/Box/Carton is received individually through automation. If labels and EDI transactions are not correct, items will not be automatically received and sent to be manually received. When items are manually received they usually are mis-received against the incorrect PO.
Often EDI transaction errors will cause result in the data not being integrated into Amazon's systems. These errors may not be related to the shipment or labels. It's critical EDI transactions are in the correct format and contain the data required by Amazon.
Chargebacks are systematically generated by Amazon when there is a "defect". These chargebacks can be invalid due to an error, for example a catalog error. The chargebacks could be valid according to Amazon's requirements however with some research and an action plan the chargebacks can be reduced and avoided.
